Percussive, climactic and cake-laden, Twelfth Night was celebrated
Smart Gals Guerrilla-style on the rooftop of the Sierra Madre
Villa station parking structure. With Lori Yeghiayan joining in
as #12, had a full array of True Loves, and the Lords of Misrule—Noël
Alumit, L. Flint Esquerra, Ben Wegener, Billy Wright—reigned.
Lee Ann Goya’s Twelve Drummers Drumming card was introduced,
cake (courtesy of Cake Divas) was sliced and crowns were given
away, in true Twelfth Night tradition. John Lacques led an inspiring,
impromptu drum session with many multiples of twelve drummers.
114 Cotton Undershirts were collected. Joy rang out from the rooftop.
We bid adieu to our fellow revelers. Every year should start this
way. |
